The white space I identified in Walmart was nicer casual menswear. I noticed that there weren't many slacks and the jeans all had a similar fit. I wanted to design different fits and styles for men. Each look is a different customer. The concept of this collection was a sense of warmth and comfort through human connection as well as out connection with nature. I wanted to create comfortable looks with interchangeable pieces. There are knits and cottons that speak to the sense of comfort. There is a lot of denim in this collection because there was a large section for it at the store. I wanted to still attract the already existing Walmart customer as well as bring in new ones. The customer I am targeting is men ages 20-26 who are looking for an updated style. Most of the customers who already shop at Walmart are in the blue collar profession, but I would like to provide a line that gives them the opportunity to move into the white collar profession if they so desire.
